The 11th Asian Men Club League Championship is to take place next February 12-24 2009. The Championship is going to be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On the 25th of December 2008 Dr. Ahmed Abu Allail - Executive Director AHF- together with Mr. Badr Al Thiayb - Treasurer AHF- went to Saudi Arabia to sign the contract between Saudi Handball Federation and AHF regarding the above mentioned Championship.

The 1st Asian Beach Games took place in Indonesia
- Bali on October 18th - 28th of the same month under the supervision of the OCA. The competition will include 17 Beach Games. 45 Countries and Regions who are members of OCA will be participating in this event. More

By ending The 11th Asian Youth Championship The National Handball Team of Kuwait came on first rank. The Islamic Republic of Iran came on second rank. This way the two teams will participate in The World Cup, Egypt 2009.

The 11th Asian Youth Championship is going to take place in Jordan instead of Syria on the 25th of July and till August 5, 2008. The Syrian Handball Federation presented an apology to the AHF. The Jordanian Handball Federation expressed willingness to receive the Championship.

| The draw of the 10th Asian Club League Championship took place on the 12th of May 2008 at the Kuwait Handball Association. The Championship is to start on June 5th and till the 13th of the same month.

March 19th, 2008 witnessed the hearing session in The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) Laussanne, reaching the final decision of approving the results of the replayed Asian Men Qualifications Beijing 2008, the replay of this tournament took place in Japan on the 30th, 31st January 2008, taking the Korean National team to the Olympic Games. In addition to this the Panel of Arbitrators confirmed the victory of the Kazakhstan handball team for women, August 2007, sending them to the same event.

Dr. Ahmad Abu Allail - Executive Director of the AHF - accompanied with Mr. Badr Al Thiab -The Treasurer of the AHF - are to fly to Laussane to attend the 1st hearing session of the Court of Arbtration for Sport (CAS) to be held on March 19th, in concern of the issue raised by the AHF against the IHF regarding the replay of the Asian Qualifications for the Olympics - Bijing 2008. |

February 17th: The beginning of the competition (The 13th Asian Men Championship for the World) between 10 teams each representing it's country, and looking forward to earn the victory that will lead to the World Cup Croatia 2009. This Championship will be subject to the supervision of the IHF as agreed upon between both the IHF and the AHF. |

The IHF agreed that the replay of the Asian Olympic Qualifications' case proceed in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) - Lausanne. |

The IHF together with the AHF agreed that the 13th Asian Championship for Men is to be considered the Qualifications for the World Championship- Croatia 2009.

On Febraury 5, the AHF held an Executive Committee Metting to announce the approval of the penalties taken against the violating countries. |

The 10th Asian Men Club Leagues Championship was postponed to June 04, and will continue to the 15th of the same month. Executive Committee meeting on January 5th to discuss the decision of the IHF regarding the rematch of the Olympic Qualifications, Beijing 2008. Also to announce the new membership of the Indonesian Handball Federation. The meeting came out with the following decisions:

The 13th Asian Men Championship for the world will be held in Iran starting February 17th and till the 25th of the same month. Participants: KUW, IRI, BRN,CHN, LIB, KOR, QAT, JPN, UAE, KSA. |

| Draw ceremoney of the 13th Asian Men Championship for the world will take place in the Maryter Sheikh Fahd Al Ahmed Al Sabah's hall - Kuwait. | ||
| An extra ordinary council meeting will be held on January the 27th under the presidency of his excellency Shikh Ahmed Al Fahd Al Sabah. | ||
| The 3rd Asian Youth Men U19 Championship from 5-11 July 2008 will be held in Jordan. | ||
| The 11th Asian Junior's Men U21 Championship 25th July to August 5 2008 will be held in Bangladish. | ||
| The 12th Asian Women Championship starting Dec. 3 to Dec. 10 will be held in Thailand. | ||
