The Draw of The 12th Asian Women Championship, Thailand - Bangkok took place at the AHF headquarters' office on the 3rd of November 2008. The Championship is to start at the 21st of November and continue till the 30th of the same month.

Saturday the 1st of November witnessed the AHF Executive Committee Meeting headed by his Excellency Sheikh Ahmed Al Fahd Al Sabah. The meeting was held at half past ten pm at the AHF Office in Kuwait. His excellency Sheikh Ahmed Al Fahad Al Sabah - President of OCA and the AHF- together with Mr. Bader Al Theyab - Vice President of IHF, Treasurer of AHF - and Mr. Naser Abu Marzouq - CCM/IHF President - are invited by Japan Handball Association. The purpose of the invitation is mainly to award His excellency Sheikh Ahmed Al Fahad Al Sabah an Honorary Doctorate by Nippon Sport Science University on October 23, 2008. During their visit Sheikh Ahmed and his companions shall also inspect the National Training Center which was established on February 2008 in the suburb of Tokyo.

Today, the 5th of August 2008 witnessed the end of The 11th Asian Mens' Junior Championship - Amman - Jordan . The National Handball Team of Kuwait earned it's victory over his tough opponent The National Handball Team of Iran. This achievement puts The victorious team with respect and honor at the 1st place. The National Handball Team of The Islamic Republic of Iran reached the 2nd place with great effort. By this achievement the two teams deserved their participation in The World Cup, Egypt 2009.

Dr. Ahmed Abu Allail-Executive Director of the AHF- stated that The 11th Asian Junior Championship is going to take place in Jordan instead of Syria on the 25th of July and till August 5. This change of place is due to an apology presented by the Syrian Handball Federation, and the willingness of the Jordanian Handball Federation to receive the championship. Members of the AHF travelled to Jordan to make sure that all the facilities and accomodations are going to be available for all the teams participating in the Championship.

The 10th Asian Club League Championship is going to start on the 5th of June 2008, and will continue till the 13th of the same month. Al Qadisya Club is hosting this Championship. The draw is going to be held on the 12th of May 2008, in the Kuwait Handball Association.

March 19th, 2008 witnessed the hearing session in The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) Laussanne, reaching the final decision of approving the results of the replayed Asian Men Qualifications Beijing 2008, the replay of this tournament took place in Japan on the 30th, 31st January 2008, taking the Korean National team to the Olympic Games. In addition to this the Panel of Arbitrators confirmed the victory of the Kazakhstan handball team for women, August 2007, sending them to the same event.

March 19th, 2008 will witness the first hearing session in The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) Laussanne. It should be mentioned that this session is to find a resolution for the dispute between the IHF and the AHF, when a case was raised by the latter to oppose the replay of the Asian Olympic Qualifications - Beijing 2008.
